Old Town of Kos and Hippocrates’ Tree

The town of Kos was established in 336 B.C., in the same region where modern Kos nowadays is settled.

The cafes, shops, Ancient Roma Agora, ancient temples and basilica are very close to each other by walking distance. 500 metres away from the region still stands Hippocrates Tree. It is believed that Hippocrates used to teach his students in the shadow of this tree 2400 years ago.
