Kos, Greece

Kos is one of the biggest islands of Dodecanese. It is just 8 miles away from Bodrum (Turkey).

Ancient Greeks, Romans, Byzantines, Ottomans and Italians have passed through the island and formed the mosaic of modern Kos.

Kos, is the birthplace of Hippocrates, “the father of medicine”. In the centre of the town still stands the Hippocrates Tree. It is believed that he used to teach medicine to his students under of this tree.

Asklepion is undoubtedly the most important monument on the island being the oldest and the most famous centre of healing in the Ancient World.
